Are you looking for a hands-on opportunity in and around the community? The Y Bass Coast are seeking outgoing individuals who are passionate for all things skate, scoot and BMX to join the team as Program Officers in schools and communities across the country.

About the Centre

The Bass Coast Leisure facilities are important community facility, managed by YMCA Victoria in partnership with the Bass Coast Shire Council. The Y Bass Coast comprises of a variety of programs and services delivered within the recreation and leisure industry. The ever expanding ranges of programs are developed with the ideals of "access for everyone".

About the Role

As a Program Officer, you will deliver skate and scoot programs and services at selected skate parks and schools throughout Bass Coast.

Working closely with the Skate and FReeZA Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

· Delivering skate park-based programs and in-school programming

· Creating a safe and welcoming environment for all participants, regardless of gender, age, skill level or socio-economic background

· Accurately documenting participants and reporting incidents where necessary

· Upholding the values of the Y Victoria at all times

This is a casual role with an hourly pay rate of $29.56 + Super.

About You

You will have a passion for all things skate, scoot and BMX, be outgoing and well spoken. With knowledge and experience in skate park culture, you will thrive working in a busy atmosphere, helping youth foster a sense of community in a fun environment in a public-facing and very hands-on role.

Mandatory Qualifications

These must be obtained and/or maintained as a requirement of continued employment.

· Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

· Provide First Aid

Desirable Skills

· Scoot, skate and/or BMX experience

· Knowledge of, and experience with skate park culture
