- · Carry out skilled meat processing tasks, including the preparation, cutting, and trimming of kangaroo meat according to company and regulatory standards.Monitor and maintain quality control throughout the processing chain to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- · Operate and maintain meat processing equipment, such as band saws and slicers, while following safety protocols.
- · Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production and timely completion of processing tasks.
- · Handle and sort meat cuts and by-products according to specifications for sale or further processing.
- · Prepare carcasses by removing internal organs and hides for further processing.
- · Assist in stunning and slaughtering processes according to ethical standards and religious customs, when required.
- · Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
- · At least 2 years of skilled work experience in meat processing in Australia, preferably in kangaroo meat processing.
- · Ability to work well in a team environment.
- · Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
- · Must be fully available over a 7-day roster.
- · Right to work in Australia.
- · Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol testing.
- · Q Fever vaccination or willingness to participate in vaccination process.
