Skilled Grain Farm Employee - Esperance, WA.

Our clients are seeking a skilled cropping farmhand near the picturesque town of Esperance, WA.

The Role:

As a vital member of our client's team, you will utilise your experience in machinery operation, including seeding, spraying, spreading, truck driving, and harvesting equipment. Mechanical knowledge is a bonus. Your responsibilities will include maintaining, cleaning, and servicing all farming equipment to the highest standards. Whether working alone or with the manager/owner, you will play a crucial role in both the paddock and the sheds. You will be involved in all aspects of the farm, which will play a vital part during the seeding season and through harvest therefore, your hours will depend on the seasonal demands of the role.
The Property & Employer:

The property is located 100 km from Esperance, a coastal town in Western Australia known for its stunning beaches and crystal-clear waters.
The farm spans across an impressive 25,000 hectares of land, with crops consisting of lentils, canola, wheat and barley. The farm employs 7-8 full-time staff, who are experts in their field, and 10-15 casual staff during seeding and harvesting. The farm is equipped with the latest technology and is a controlled traffic farm with JD RTK guidance. This means that the farm vehicles move on a specific, controlled route, which reduces soil compaction and improves crop yield.
The farm also has modern facilities, providing a comfortable work environment for staff. The property also has a large, modern workshop that is fully equipped to meet the farm's maintenance needs. The workshop is well-lit, spacious, and has all the necessary equipment to carry out repairs and maintenance work.
