Skilled Meatworkers
Based in Wetherill Park on the outer Western Suburbs of Sydneyin New South Wales, our client is one of Australia's leading fullyintegrated pork meat processing company.
We are looking for a number of skilled, qualified, andexperienced fulltime boners for our morning and afternoonshifts.
Skilled Boners
The position would involve the following duties:
- Operating switching controls to direct and drop carcasses andmeat cuts from supply rails to boning tables.
- Cutting meat to separate meat, fat and tissue from aroundbones.
- Washing, scraping and trimming meat.
- Cutting sides and quarters of meat into standard meat cuts,such as legs, flanks and shoulders, and trimming to prepare themfor packing and marketing.
Essential Skills, Experience andQualifications
- Excellent knife skills and maintenance of personalequipment
- Attention to detail
- Excellent reliability, attendance and timekeeping at work
- Good communication and positive teamwork
- Sound problem solving capabilities, including reportingmalfunctioning of equipment, or workplace health and safetyissues
- Ability to manage priorities to meet production schedules
- Ability to work within a cold storage environment and with rawmeat products
- Sound understanding of Australian meat industry
- AQF Certificate III in Meat Processing
- Must complete a Pre-employment medical functional drug andalcohol test
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
Remuneration
This is subject to your skills, qualifications and experiencebut it would be within a salary range providing an annualizedsalary of $70,000 per annum + superannuation.
