Overview:
We are seeking a skilled heavy equipment operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating a 16 & 5 ton excavator as well as a 12 ton roller. The primary responsibilities will include operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently to complete various construction and earthmoving projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a 16 & 5 ton excavator and a 12 ton roller according to project specifications and safety regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Safely load and unload materials using the excavator.
- Operate the roller to compact soil, asphalt, and other materials as required.
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating a 16 & 5 ton excavator and a 12 ton roller in a construction or earthmoving environment.
- Valid heavy equipment operator certification or equivalent training.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to interpret project plans and specifications.
- Physical stamina to work in outdoor environments and lift heavy objects.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating other types of heavy equipment, such as skidsteer or loaders.
- Familiarity with basic maintenance procedures for heavy equipment.
- HR Driver's License is preferred & may be required depending on the nature of the projects.
