Grade 1-2 Sleep Scientist – Department of Respiratory & Sleep Disorders Medicine

The Respiratory & Sleep Medicine Department of the Royal Melbourne Hospital is a skilled multidisciplinary team that prides itself on a collaborative and inclusive environment, committed to high quality evidence based patient care. The Department operates as part of the Medicine and Community Care Division to provide services to patients across the royal Melbourne Hospital.
Your new role:
- Perform complex sleep monitoring procedures as well as undertake reporting and analysis of sleep test results
- Support and guide patients through their sleep journey
- Develop professional relationships with patients, carers and other members of the multidisciplinary team through effective communication and engagement
- Search for ways to continuously improve health care and the experience of patients
About you:
- We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated scientist with a degree in science or applied science majoring in, physiology, biomedical, Psychophysiology, psychology or equivalent fields
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enjoy taking on new challenges and love learning
- You have excellent computer knowledge in hardware and biological signal processing as well as the Microsoft Office suite
- You have experience working in a sleep laboratory
