Talenza have been engaged by our NSW Government client to source for a large number of Smallworld Developers. Prior experience in Smallworld is highly sought after, but other experience in Java/Magik is highly transferable. This role is open to candidates across the Eastern States of Australia. This is a chance to work in a supportive environment on pure object-oriented programming languages and handling network topologies in a geospatial context.Role Title: Smallworld Developer / Java or MagikContract Length: 6 month initial contract with a high chance of extensionDaily Pay: $600 - 800 + Super per day.Location: Heavily remote/ Sydney CBD officeRole Requirements:
- 2 - 5 years of experience in IT projects involving GE Smallworld development, or otherwise high proficiency in Java and Magik development experience.
- Working closely with a cross-functional team of Smallworld Analysts and Project staff.
- Design and development of interfaces between GE Smallworld and other business applications.
- Design and develop enhancements to distribution application.
- Knowledge of object programming, data model designing skills is seen as a positive attribute.
- Bachelor's Degree in IT or IT-related major
- Openness for learning new technologies and programming languages
- Excellent communication skills.
