We’re on the hunt for a hands on team member to join our Snack Brands Australia team in the role of Senior Product Development Coordinator. Reporting to the Product Development Manager this exciting role will be based in our Smithfield site on a 18 month contract basis with frequent travel to our other sites based in Blacktown, Orchard Hills, and Norwest.

This action-packed role is responsible for all aspects of Product Development, with a key focus on end-to-end project management. Responsible for all aspects from raw material selection, process, and packaging development, you will be able to demonstrate all round skills in developing the next great snacking sensation!
What you’ll be responsible for:
- All aspects of the product, process, packaging, and cost optimisation processes
- Create and manage new product, process and packaging briefs, trials and first production runs
- Technical assistance to production – You will become the tech expert in salty snack processes.
- Playing a pivotal role in our factory trials process
- Working with Marketing, Category and Operations teams to drive innovation
- Create and manage product specifications and document processes.
- End to End projects management working with flavour houses and packaging suppliers.
- Leading sensory evaluations
- Relevant qualifications, I.e.: Degree in Food Science Technology
- Ideally you will come from a background in FMCG
- Willingness to get involved in all aspects of the PD of salty snacks – You will be eager to learn it all
- Strong communication skills
