Established in 2012, STUDIOCANAL Australia & NZ distributes independent films through theatrical, home entertainment, television and digital channels.
STUDIOCANAL is a subsidiary of the CANAL+ Group held by Vivendi, and is Europe’s leading film and television studio, operating directly in nine major European markets – France, United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Spain, Denmark and Benelux- as well as in Australia, New Zealand, China and the United States. It finances and produces around 30 films per year, distributes around 80 films per year. Additionally, STUDIOCANAL owns one of the largest film and series libraries in the world, boasting nearly 8,000 titles from 60 countries, spanning 100 years of film history. STUDIOCANAL also produces almost 20 series each year and operates at an international level by globally distributing its scripted productions and CANAL+ Originals (2,000 hours of current and library content in distribution).
Role Description
STUDIOCANAL Australia & NZ is seeking an Acquisitions, Production and Development Coordinator to support the Acquisitions and Production and Development team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about film, with strong organisational ability, communication skills, and attention to detail.
The role is based at reception and involves a variety of administrative duties in support of daily operations, including script reading and coverage.
Working 4 days per week (3 Days in office / 1 Day work from home).
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Office reception, attending to all reception tasks as required.
- Assist with script reading and coverage.
- Provide support to the team during film markets.
- Run box office estimates, book meetings, manage script submissions.
- Assist with updating and maintaining databases.
- Work closely with all in-house functions such as finance, marketing and sales to keep production information flowing smoothly.
- Administrative support to Acquisitions, Production and Development.
- Attend screenings and events.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in film or related field or Certificate IV in Screen and Media.
- Enthusiasm and interest to read scripts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and multitask effectively.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Intermediate to advance skills on Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Experience within Film/TV/Distribution industry desirable.
