Southern NSW Local Health District covers a large area of the Southern half of NSW. Surrounding the ACT on three sides and all the way down to the Victorian border, it extends from the pristine beaches of the NSW South Coast, the farmlands of the Southern Tablelands, across the picturesque Great Dividing Range and the spectacular Snowy Mountains. Where you'll be working
South East Regional Hospital opened it’s doors in 2016 and boasts beautiful country side views which are aesthetically pleasing for any work environment. South East Regional Hospital offers an emergency department, medical and surgical inpatient beds, a Level 3 maternity service, Level 3 Paediatric unit, a critical care unit with 24-hour registrar cover, 3 operating theatres including day surgery, with significant community-based services including renal dialysis services and outpatient cancer medicine services. South East Regional Hospital also offers an inpatient mental health unit and sub-acute rehabilitation unit. In September 2022 a state-of-the-art standalone medical simulation centre will open.

Selection Criteria:
- Eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Evidence of accreditation with the Joint Consultative Committee Anaesthesia (Australia), together with a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, or Fellowship of Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, or specialist qualifications deemed equivalent.
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in GP Anaesthesia.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and staff; and effective communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, and research and quality improvement.
- Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2022_030
Applicants must have completed the COVID-19 vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
ASARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) 3 doses are required for Category A positions (refer to NSW Policy Directive PD2022_030 Occupational Assessment Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases).
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate.
