Technical Support Officer in our Refrigeration team!The
Technical Support Officer - Refrigeration provides maintenance to the tools and equipment for refrigeration and electrical practical classes, to ensure equipment is up to industry standards and ready for class participation. The
Technical Support Officer will be responsible for coordinating the pods ensuring they are in position for practical delivery.The
Technical Support Officer is a member of the Refrigeration team in the Faculty of Trades. This position is responsible for working professionally with employees at all levels across the Box Hill Institute and liaising with relevant external stakeholders, including the Air-conditioning Mechanical Contractors Australia (AMCA).
About You:The Qualifications and Expertise required for the
Technical Support Officer role are:
- Certificate III in related subject area
- Forklift License is desirable
- A Level 2 First Aid qualification or a willingness to undertake this training
Your skills and experience should include:Maintenance & Trade Skills:
- Demonstrated Electrical Disconnect/Reconnect, Test and Tag Experience
- Refrigeration/Plumbing trade experience
- Mechanical, equipment and facility maintenance experience, particularly in an education setting
Technical Support- Demonstrated ability to support the set-up, conduct and close down of simulation, workshops, laboratories and other practical teaching sessions
Health & Safety
- Knowledge and application of work health and safety principles and practices.
