Social Health EducatorLearning & DevelopmentFixed Term Part-time (40 hours per fortnight)December 2023 until December 2024 (parental leave backfill) Social Worker Grade 3 Year 1 (SC31) An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Learning and Development Unit at West Gippsland Healthcare Group in the role of Social Health Educator. This is a fixed term part-time position to cover staff on parental leave at 0.5 EFT.Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, you will work within a motivated and dedicated team that provides support to the organisation over a wide range of education and development services, including but not limited to, in-service education, development and delivery of training programs, competency assessments, supervision of student placements and staff development education.We are seeking expressions of interest from motivated, experienced and enthusiastic people with a passion for learning and development to work collaboratively in providing high-quality learning opportunities, using a range of modalities that support and enable participants to practice as safe, confident and accountable professionals.This stimulating role would suit an experienced Social worker who has clinical expertise in the area, is flexible, solutions-focused, committed to quality, willing to accept a challenge and enjoys working within a team that is dedicated to providing great service to their client group. Our preferred candidate will have:Degree in Social WorkEligibility of membership with the Australian Association of Social WorkersExtensive experience in Social Work, no less than 5 yearsDemonstrated experience in clinical education, development and supervision in the relevant area and/or inter-disciplinary fieldEvidence of ongoing professional development in education/clinical education The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint and ExcelCertificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or currently studying towards this qualification, or relevant tertiary qualification in education IMPORTANT: All staff employed in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 and 2023 Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
