The Role
At the Town of Port Hedland we understand the importance that sport and recreation programs hold for remote communities. As such, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Social Sports Officer to utilise their love and knowledge of sport and fitness to review, develop and implement a comprehensive timetable of Social Sports and leisure programming.
As the Social Sports Officer you will oversee the Wanangkura Stadiums Social Sports portfolio, with tasks ranging from organising fixtures and timetables to setting up and packing down equipment, and everything in between. Working a 19-hour week, with the potential for more hours, you must have flexibility in working hours including weekends and after hours.

Work Related Requirements
The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:
- Formal qualification in recreation, education programming or demonstrated experience in a similar position
- National Police Clearance
- Current 'C' class drivers license
- Rights to work in Australia
- Working with Children Check (or willing to apply)
