Salary: $85,665 - $99,241 p.a. (Pro Rata) AHP2 | Full Time, Ongoing
As the Social Worker, you will be a professional clinician and a member of the Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative Care Division, and operates with appropriate levels of professional direction and competence within interdisciplinary teams providing services to the palliative care unit, primarily in the community. You will be required to travel within your area of responsibility to ensure palliative care needs are responded to in order to support home based care and some out of hours work may be required.
To be successful in this role, you will need competence in the application of a wide range of assessment and therapeutic interventions to clients with complex needs, the ability to critically analyse or evaluate issues related to clinical care in social work in a manner which can be applied to quality activities, service evaluation or research and a high level interpersonal and negotiating skills and the ability to communicate with clients and staff at various levels, both orally and in writing. Experience as a social worker in a health setting is also desirable.
