A little about the role:
As an Early ChildhoodSocial Worker, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering components of the Early Help program in the Latrobe Valley area as part of the Our Place Initiative by actively engaging and supporting families in Area and/or connected to identified schools and Early Childhood Centre’s.
- Session planning and facilitating playgroups and activities that are fun, stimulating, educational and support connection between parents. program requirements and deliverables.
- Assist with co-facilitating Baby College, when required as well as supporting vulnerable mothers for 12 months during prenatal and early postnatal periods to improve their child’s developmental outcomes.
The base salary for this position is $80,964 - $87,126 per annum + super + vehicle & fuel card + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum.
This position is a full-time, ongoing opportunity.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you’ll come with:
- Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or other relevant recognised Qualification;
- Prior experience working with and/or on behalf of children, young people and families;
- Tenacity, diligence and resilience - with the ability to adopt a creative approach to problem solving in a fast-paced environment.
- Antenatal or maternity systems – would be advantageous.
- Strong administration and communication skills are essential.
