About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Grade 2Social Worker for a 0.8EFT fixed term, part time role. This role in Monday to Friday and is predominantly based in Springvale, however the role provides outreach across Greater Dandenong, City of Casey and Cardinia Shires.
Our Journey
The Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies team are an integral part of the Child and Family program within Monash Health Community.
The team is comprised of Social Workers, Community Development Workers and a Nurse/Midwife that are dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing outcomes for pregnant women, their babies and families. We are committed to providing women with high quality care, support, education and advocacy throughout their pregnancy and following birth, which embrace family centred, strengths based and evidence-based practice, within a Social Model of Health. The role offers rewarding learning and development opportunities, regular clinical supervision and scope for other activities such as quality improvement projects. About You
To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Qualifications and relevant paediatric experience as a Social Worker with a strong focus on client centred care
- A forward thinking approach to care – your ideas matter to us!
- Adaptability and flexibility and a “Can do” attitude
- Dedication to safe best practice and quality care
- A dynamic Allied Health professional who is passionate about making a positive contribution to the health and wellbeing of your clients
- Enthusiastic, compassionate and able to work collaboratively as part of a team
- High motivation to perform at your best every day, demonstrating excellent, assessment, communication and interpersonal skills
What you need:
- Bachelor of Social Work or Masters Social Work Qualifying OR Masters of Social Work, OR equivalent as assessed and approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Eligible for ordinary membership of AASW (http://www.aasw.asn.au/)
- Written evidence of eligibility for AASW membership for overseas qualifications is required
- Completion of a post graduate qualification in relevant field or working towards
- Current Drivers Licence
- Experience in providing clinical care in a Paediatric service/ Women’s Health and working with clients from Culturally and Linguistically diverse backgrounds
