Alfred Mental and Addiction Health is responsible for the operation of services which focus on people with a severe mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne. Services are provided by a number of teams located at the Alfred Hospital (Commercial Road, Prahran) and at St. Kilda Road Clinic, Melbourne, Alma Road CCU in St. Kilda and the Child & Adolescent Service located in Moorabbin. Alfred Mental and Addiction Health also works in partnership with relevant local non-government and social support agencies work
The Role
The Senior Social Work Clinician will undertake a direct clinical role within the Community Mental Health Team, focussing on mental health service delivery for clients and their families/carers. The incumbent will demonstrate advanced Social Work practice and be an advocate for recovery-oriented practice and family sensitive practice as a key responsibility. As a senior clinician, the incumbent will be expected to provide consultation, in-service training and specialist clinical advice to other staff in the team. The Senior Social Workers will work as an integral part of the leadership team of the CMHT, which includes the Nurse Manager, Senior Occupational Therapists, Senior Nurses, Senior Psychologists and Psychiatrists.
