Napier Street Aged Care Services is a ‘not for profit’ incorporated association that exists to provide residential and community care for older adults
The Service is governed by a Board of Management who all have a keen interest in Aged Care Services. The Board employ a Chief Executive Officer to manage the day-to-day operations and to provide strategic direction with respect to the further development of quality programs and services. Napier Street Aged Care Services employ trained, qualified and committed staff who ensure the delivery of best practice care and services.

About the Role
We currently have an opportunity for a Personal Care Worker to join the team working full time
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of Certificate 3, in Aged Care.
- Current and relevant experience in residential aged care
- Good communication (written and verbal) and basic computer skills
- Ability to work with residents from culturally diverse backgrounds in varying levels of functioning.
- Ability to work without direct supervision and as a member of multi skilled team
- Current Police Check (Full disclosure or standard disclosure)
- Covid-19 Vaccine (3 x dose)
- Australian Citizen or permanent resident
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Support and assist co-workers as required
- Support and maintain independence and any planned program to enhance a quality lifestyle
- Ensure care is given as per directives in the care plan for the individual resident
- Document in a factual and timely manner in the resident’s records including but not limited to; progress notes, charting and incident reporting
- Follow all WHS procedures and guidelines
- Practice universal infection control precautions
- Attendance at Staff and other meetings as required
- Knowledge of and skills to be able follow emergency procedures
- Participate in the Napier Street Aged Care Services quality improvement program
- Comply with all Napier Street Aged Care Services policies and procedures
- Maintain privacy obligations at all times as per legislation
- Adhere to all legislative guidelines
- Complete an annual staff appraisal
- Maintain all vacations as per government legislation
- Comply at all times with the Aged Care Code of Conduct
