• This is a new role as part of an Allied Health expansion in General Medicine, and as part of the reopening and expansion of our sub-acute care wards
• Showcase your expert clinical skills and leadership across the acute and sub-acute continuum
• Support practitioner-led research within Social Work and Allied Health
• Full time permanent (part time negotiable)

Your New Role

• Lead a culture of excellence in patient care in the expanded General Medicine team, the sub-acute wards (GEM and/or inpatient rehabilitation), and across the social work department.
• Provide clinical leadership in social work and Complex Care.
• Utilise specialised skills and knowledge in relation to patient care, staff development, and stakeholder management.
• Actively lead and participate in Allied Health quality improvement initiatives and research
• You will be well supported by the Social Work Leaders (Grades 3 and 4), Social Work and Diversity Manager, and the Social Work team.

About You

• You are a qualified Social Worker, (eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers) with relevant postgraduate qualifications (or working towards its imminent completion - minimum of master’s degree).
• You have demonstrated hospital experience with exceptional communication skills and experience in leading effective working relationships within interdisciplinary teams
• You have strong supervisory skills and a passion for fostering staff development
• You have an understanding of wider organisational and public health policy influences on public hospital services
• You value working with supportive and dedicated health professionals and multidisciplinary teams.
