About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Social Worker with a background supporting young children and to join our growing Allied Health Team. This is a fixed term part-time position 2-3 days per week, until the 23rd of December 2024 with the possibility of extension.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligible for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) or the Society of Professional Social Workers
- Knowledge and experience to provide effective social work interventions to build capacity for families and support children with complex needs
- Understanding of the principles and evidence-based practice regarding the delivery of positive support worker approaches within diverse environments, including their home and community supports.
- Experience in working with interdisciplinary assessments as a Social Worker in an associated sector or industry, with participation in collaboration and the implementation of reflective practice.
- Experience in developing and implementing training, coaching, and providing support to non-clinical staff, service providers and families / caregivers.
