About the Role
You will be conducting clinical and psychosocial interventions supporting young people in the community who are experiencing problematic substance use. You will do so with managerial, clinical and team support within a working environment that values your input and gives you clear guidelines and supervision.
The successful applicant will be supported by other multidisciplinary professionals from the YDACS team, as well as the CYFS Manager and the DACS Allied Health Clinical Lead. Professional development is encouraged and supported, and DACS provides Education sessions regularly that you are welcome to attend.
Where you'll be working
Based at the James Fletcher Hospital, you will be working as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team that delivers holistic care to young people 18 years and under who are experiencing moderate to severe substance use issues. This dynamic and committed team works along with other CYFS programs to ensure HNE communities can access a suite of child, young people and family focused care and support.
About YouAs the YDACS Social Worker, you will be working alongside youth who are managing complex and challenging situations. You will be expected to have thorough knowledge of the child-protection policy and legislation, and the ability to implement this knowledge if need be. You will also be able to apply professional and ethical boundaries, possess exceptional people skills and, have the capacity to think and solve problems as they arise.
