South West Healthcare's Infant Child and Youth Mental Health Service (ICYMHS) is a specialist service for young people aged 0-25yrs and their families. With three embedded specialist streams: Infant Child and Family for 0-11 years old, and the Youth Streams for 12–25-year-olds consisting of the intake and short-term intervention and ongoing care streams.
About the role
Our Youth team is seeking passionate and dedicated clinicians to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team of clinical specialists. As we work together to achieve the best possible clinical outcomes for youth aged 12-25.
Our Youth Mental Health Clinicians are responsible to ensure the provision of evidence informed and developmentally appropriate treatment, care and support, in partnership with community-based services, primary health providers and the broader Mental Health and wellbeing sector Youths aged 12-25 and their families.
The role requires you to use your clinical skills to provide:
- Direct service provision to groups and individuals.
- Primary and Secondary Consultation to Mental Health and wellbeing sector partners including Paediatricians, General Practitioners, Allied Health Providers and Headspace Centres
- Community Development and Education as appropriate to the role.
- Permanent, part time and full time positions available
- Warrnambool Campus
- Classification: Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3, Occupational Therapist Grade 2, Social Worker Grade 2, or Psychologist (Provisional or General) 5+1 registrar programs for psychology are supported & eligible to apply
- Salary Range: $86,304.40 - 110,432.40 pro rata, plus superannuation
What you bring
The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent team building skills with experience in Mental Health clinical services an advantage. Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills and initiative with proven ability to work autonomously as well as an ability to work with limited direction, be self-motivated, and provide effective problem-solving and negotiation skills.
You will have one of the following: General APRAH registration as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, or Mental Health Nurse or AASW registration as an accredited Social Worker.
