The Principal is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Counsellors or Social Workers to join the Pastoral Wellbeing Team in a part-time capacity (0.6 FTE). The successful applicant will be working with students from Kindergarten to Year Six.
The commencement date has been advertised as Monday, 27 May 2024, but is negotiable upon appointment. Working hours can also be negotiated.
Selection Criteria
• Managing the legal, ethical and organisational requirements of a clinical, counselling role within an educational setting (ie, privacy, confidentiality and disclosure).
• The ability to effectively operate as a member of a dynamic team.
• Capacity to work with individuals and small groups, as well as present to larger groups when required.
• A strong work ethic, the ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
• Experience working with children and their families in a mental health, clinical or educational setting (desirable).
Qualifications Required
• Registration with ACA, PACFA or AASW.
• Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling.
• Police Clearance and Working with Children's Check.
