What will you be doing?
As a software engineer, you will be designing, developing and enhancing applications using modern software development practices such as Microservices with Domain-Driven Design, Clean Architecture and CQRS at an enterprise scale. You will also be working in a Batch Processing, ETL environment, where the emphasis is on processing data at scale and speed.
Job Responsibilities
- Convert user requirements into technical design specifications
- Develop and enhance applications adopting the concept of Domain Driven Design, Clean Architecture, and CQRS
- Write unit tests
- Regularly document technical processes
- Work on database technologies such as MS SQL Server, SSIS
- Analyse and resolve complex technical design issues
- Work closely with the team and participate in code review
- Report risk and provide resolution
- Identify areas of improving system performance and availability
- Mentor less experienced team members
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science/Technology (preferred)
- Experience working on systems such as;
- C#, .Net and database technologies including MS SQL Server and SSIS
- Azure DevOps (GIT/TFVC), Azure Service Fabric, NServiceBus, RabbitMQ
- PostgreSQL, Python, Linux, Hadoop will be highly regarded
- Excellent problem solving skills, attention to detail and communication
- Highly motivated, self-directed team player who will work closely with the team and provide support to internal stakeholders
- A quick learner, who can rapidly acquire the business domain knowledge necessary to be a productive team member
- Passionate about technology and innovation
