Software Engineer

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer with a passion for game development to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

As a Software Engineer at Clevershark, you will be involved in a variety of tasks aimed at developing high-quality gaming software. Your responsibilities will include:

• Researching and Analysing System Needs: Conduct thorough research, consultations, and evaluations to understand system program requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Identifying Technology Limitations: Recognize deficiencies in existing systems, processes, procedures, and methods, and suggest appropriate solutions to overcome technology limitations.
• Testing and Debugging: Employ established testing protocols, guidelines, and quality standards to test, debug, diagnose, and correct errors and faults in programming languages to ensure software performance meets specifications.
• Programming and Maintenance: Write and maintain program code that meets system requirements, designs, and technical specifications in accordance with accredited quality standards.
• Documentation: Keep technical program, end-user documentation, and operational procedures up to date, ensuring they are clear, comprehensive, and easily accessible.
• Advisory Role: Provide expert advice, guidance, and recommendations on software design strategies, including financial evaluations, costings, software purchases, and upgrades.

Technical Skills and Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Software Engineering with a strong emphasis on game development.
• Profound knowledge and hands-on experience with programming languages such as C++, C#, and Python, essential for game development and Software Engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to research, test, debug, and diagnose software issues, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to specifications.
• Proven expertise in identifying system limitations and implementing effective, innovative solutions.
• Competence in writing clean, maintainable code, as well as comprehensive technical documentation.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to work on complex projects.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, capable of offering expert advice and guidance on software design and development.

Salary: $75,000 - $82,000 plus superannuation per annum
