As a Software Engineer on the Rainmaker team, you'll be developing cutting-edge software products while also sprinkling your magic on existing web-based projects. Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with engineers and business analysts to help define the scope of development projects, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives and customer needs.
- Showcase your technical expertise by developing and supporting software, including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements.
- Play a key role in supporting our Quality Assurance team during the testing and deployment phases of new products and features, ensuring a seamless and top-quality user experience.
- Stay at the forefront of technological advancements by continuously learning and working with different technologies and tools while adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Inspire and guide your team members through effective leadership, training, and mentoring, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages growth and excellence.
- Learn and adapt to new technologies, languages, and frameworks.
Qualifications
With at least 2-5 years of relevant work experience
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field
Experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL)
Experience with interpreted languages: PHP, JavaScript, Node.js required
Experience with a JavaScript framework: React required
Experience with Python and Linux platform is a plus
Experience with microservices and API development in REST and familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) are an advantage
Experience using version control tools: Git / gitlab
Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
Willingness to learn new technologies
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work collaboratively, as part of a team as well as autonomously in an efficient manner
