Our Subdivision & Certification team has exciting opportunities for a Development Engineer and Senior Development Engineer to join the Subdivision team.
About the Role
The Hills Shire Council is a growth center with substantial built-form and land release development. The primary focus of this position is to provide timely and effective assessment of development applications and post consent certificates relating to engineering works for all types of development in accordance with relevant legislations, standards and industry best practice.
What you will be doing:
Provision of technical engineering advice and review of Development Applications for all types of development including preparing reports and engineering conditions of consent.
Attend, contribute and provide advice for at pre-lodgement meetings, conciliation conferences and with court related matters.
Act in the role of Principal Certifier for public infrastructure, driveway and stormwater work.
Manage, assess and prepare reports for post consent approvals including subdivision works certificates, subdivision certificates, s138/68 approvals and preparation of final plans and instruments related to the registration of subdivisions.
Respond to general engineering and subdivision enquiries
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have:
Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualifications
White Card – General Construction Induction
Current Class C Driver Licence.
Understanding of land use planning, construction methods and engineering processes and techniques and their application to development assessment
Understanding of the land development process

Senior Development Engineer (Permanent full-time role, S1183)
Salary: starting from $105K p.a. + Superannuation + Car Allowance of $13K + Bonuses*
Development Engineer (Permanent full-time role, S0195)
Salary starting from $84K p.a. + Superannuation + Car Allowance of $13K + Bonuses*
