GREEN GOLD ENERGY is looking for an ambitious Senior Software/Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you'll leverage your expertise to optimize our massive solar farm datasets, ensuring that the solar energy in each system operation, stable and continuous output the electricity.
Green Gold Energy is a company providing turnkey solutions for Solar Projects. We specialize in development, construction, operation and general contracting of the projects.
Since its inception in 2017, Green Gold Energy has maintained close ties with local government and network providers and has become a pioneer in the field of the renewable energy industry in South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
The company is growing very quickly, and is the provider to many of the largest power and energy companies in Australia. GGE is headquartered in Adelaide (South Australia), and is part of the global DNV network of companies. The Solar projects are designed for renewable energy that combine solar power generation with BESS, Micro- grid, Hydrogen, EV Charge Station and Data Center operating by many computer systems.
IN 2023, 70+ projects in the pipeline to date & 20+ projects commissioned to date &1.2GW solar project and 2GWh BESS developed to date.
Key Responsibilities:
** Lead the development of battery EMS system software, improve and maintain EMS system upgrade and operation
**Lead the development of power trading system, system integration, communication and gateway support for power retail and trading
**Develop process and project management systems, through the monitoring and audit of processes and procedures, recommend corrective action plans and improvement actions to address noncompliance with ISO and quality standards
**Communicate, educate and liaise with users and management to ensure awareness and compliance with standards, procedures and quality control issues and activities
**Lead the review of Power Systems Connection processes, policies and guidelines to achieve improved team performance
**Develop and document technical analysis methodologies and model development
**Lead options analysis and document network and non-network solutions for transmission system issues both technically and commercially
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- In addition to technical skills, you should be able to work effectively in small teams/start-up cultures and be comfortable wearing multiple hats and balancing multiple responsibilities.
- You should be able to manage priorities well while managing the expectations of stakeholders and have the ability to work well with remote team members and individuals with varying personalities.
- Collaborate effectively with the team on system architecture, design decisions, and technical implementations, sharing your knowledge and insights to build a robust and efficient data infrastructure.
- Capability to use English and Chinese to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise language for non-technical audiences, bridging the gap between technical intricacies and user comprehension.
- Demonstrate strong ownership of your projects, taking pride in the quality, efficiency, and maintainability of your code.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement by embracing constructive feedback and actively seeking new ideas from colleagues.
- Mentor and support others in their professional development, generously sharing your expertise to help others grow.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
- 15+ Years working in a Software/Data Engineering Role
- Rigorous approach to testing and a keen eye for bugs and errors
- Experienced with automating to improve efficiency and catch defects early
- Understanding and adoption of good practices such as TDD, BDD
- Deep fluency with a variety of operating systems including Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android
- Familiarity with data analysis libraries like Pandas and NumPy (desired)
- Fluency working in service orchestration (Docker and Kubemetes) and Linux environments
- Thrives in an independent work environment and manages time effectively, consistently delivering high-quality results.
- Possesses a deep understanding of computational fundamentals (threads, filesystems, network protocols, etc)
- Ability to collaborate within a software development team using source code management software such as GIT
- Projects management certificate holder ( priority )
