Meet the Back End team
Our Back End is massively scalable and is designed to handle huge amounts of data from thousands of concurrent users each day. It is the backbone of our frontend applications including our desktop application, web applications and mobile apps.
We are looking for a Mid-levelBack End Developer to work on all the backend APIs and services that make up the core of LEAP. You will work closely with the backend development manager to help expand and improve all our backend applications.
What you’ll do
- Developing new Web APIs and improving existing Web APIs
- Working on optimal extraction of data from a variety of data sources using SQL, Elastic Search, S3 and more.
- Working alongside QE to improve product quality.
- Designing, coding and testing software components as well as SQL and Non-SQL databases
- Unit Testing
- Utilising Amazon Web Services to build secure, scalable and highly available solutions
- Working with users and other stakeholders to define and clarify requirements
- Participating in code reviews
- 3+ years commercial C# development experience including recent versions of ASP.NET
- Strong knowledge of SOLID principles
- Experience with MS SQL, understanding relational DB design, ability to write and optimize SQL queries.
- Experience with AWS Services (S3, Lambdas, Dynamo, etc.)
- Ability to perform web front-end development (React) is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to think out of the box – not all our tasks are standard so neither are the solutions
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in an open and positive manner
- A great attitude, with a passion for delivering excellent service and a readiness to pick up a task, no matter how big or small
- A desire to continuously learn about new technologies
