Their product offers a range of tools that enable it's customers to streamline operations, optimize supply chains, and facilitate seamless communication between stakeholders.
They are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a passion for backend technologies to join their collaborative team and assist them in driving innovation within logistics.
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role is designing, developing, and maintaining the core backend components of our client's SaaS platform. Your expertise in NestJS and Typescript will be essential to building scalable and efficient solutions.
Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend solutions using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Collaborating with frontend engineers and product managers to create APIs that seamlessly integrate with the platform.
• Utilizing NestJS to build and optimize the backend infrastructure.
• Ensuring high availability, performance, and security of the backend systems.
• Integrating with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure for seamless deployment and scalability.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues to ensure smooth platform operations.
• Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of 4+ years experience in backend development.
• Experience with NestJS is essential.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and Typescript.
• Experience with cloud technologies (GCP)
• Experienced with CI/CD and DevOps principles.
• Expertise in developing scalable, high-performance backend systems.
• Ability to hit the ground running and deliver high-quality work.

Please note:

• The budget for this role ranges from $120,000 - $150,0000 depending upon experience and suitability.
• This is a Melbourne based role with a hybrid working arrangement (2 days in the office, 3 days WFH).
• Candidates must have full working rights within Australia.
