The Team
We are proud to have a strong Class Actions presence nationally, assisting clients to secure justice in some of the nation's most prominent Class Actions, including the Stolen Wages and Stolen Generations Class Actions, the Ruby Princess class action and the Worley Ltd shareholder class action. The team is led by two experienced and highly regarded Joint Heads of Class Actions and assisted by a dedicated team of Practice Leaders, Special Counsels, Senior Associates and other legal professionals.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor with pre or post-admission experience contributing to the success of running Class Actions. Whether you’ve come from defendant or plaintiff practice, this is an opportunity, to rise to your professional potential, whereby you will be contributing to the development of groundbreaking Class Actions cases. Amongst an established team of senior Class Actions legal practitioners, based in Sydney, you will have an ideal balance of autonomy and guidance.
With compassion, connection and purpose, you’ll be a true champion of our clients by:
- Assisting in the preparation of pleadings.
- Drafting memoranda, correspondence and court documents.
- Undertaking research.
- Engaging in expert evidence.
- Preparing affidavits for review.
- Engaging with experts and counsel.
- Participating in discovery reviews.
- Assisting in class action investigations.
- Cultivating strong relationships with our clients, peers and other stakeholders through exceptional communication and clear management of expectations.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor of Laws with a current practising certificate.
- Ideally, pre or post-admission experience working on Class Actions.
- Experience working on large-scale commercial litigation matters.
- An innate ability to question, challenge the status quo and always stay ahead of the pack.
- Maturity and professionalism to work with counsel and experts.
- A great sense of urgency with tasks you perform.
- Be a great communicator both verbally and in writing.
- Be committed to truly connecting with those around you and working together to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
