About the Position

The Solution and Integration Architect is a key role in the ICTteam and plays a vital role in ensuring that the City's digitaltransformation initiatives are relevant, aligned, and effective. The position is responsible for designing, developing andmaintaining the architecture of the City's business applicationsportfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals, operationaltechnology and market trends. The Solution and IntegrationArchitect also collaborates closely with business leaders tounderstand their needs and requirements, and to identifyopportunities where new technologies can drive value andefficiency. The position provides technical advice and oversightfor technical projects and contributes to the strategic directionof future investments in business applications.

Key Responsibilities

The duties of the Solution and Integration Architect willinclude but are not limited to:

  • Bring together expertise in technology, data and strategy, to align digital initiatives with business goals and operational technology.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of future investments in business applications to promote a cohesive application architecture and maximise the return on the City’s technology investment.
  • Act as the bridge between business strategy and technological possibilities and form a target state for digital transformation initiatives based on the stakeholders needs and requirements.
  • Identify opportunities where new technologies can drive transformation and innovation.
  • Assess the impact of changes in technology, business strategies, and market trends, ensuring that the architecture remains relevant and aligned with evolving needs.
  • Provide architectural oversight for development of new or upgraded software applications, systems and technology infrastructure and provide technical advice to project teams and stakeholders;
  • Document and maintain existing and future architecture of the City’s business applications portfolio;

About You

  • Substantial experience designing complex integrated enterprise applications
  • Strong hands-on technical expertise across applications, data and infrastructure, in both on-prem and cloud environments
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Strategic mindset with ability to translate business needs into appropriate solutions
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • TOGAF Enterprise Architecture
  • Certified Solutions Architect
  • Cloud Certified Solutions Architect

This permanent full-time position is attracts a salary range of$135,000 - $183,000 gross per annum plus superannuation.

To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide, or haveability obtain a:

  • A copy of Australian driving licence
  • National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months)
  • Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance
  • The right to work in Australia
