We have a unique opportunity located in Adelaide working with one of our clients through our Professional Services arm of NEC.
Professional Services (PS) offers a variety of capabilities that extend NEC's core services to both our established and new clients. Our services allow our clients to access highly skilled AU based technical resources and deliver multi-vendor solutions and products.
Our client has commenced a major program of work for the Distributed Energy Transition, to ensure network resilience and reliability in the face of the transition to renewable energy sources. To support this work, we require a program lead architect for an initial 12 months based on-site with a possible extension.
What a typical day looks like in this role:
You will Lead the development of the end-to-end IT solution architect, ensuring:
- program business outcomes are realised.
- identify and drive resolution of architectural trade-offs that are either within project scope or have current or potential material impact to the enterprise.
- key stakeholders are well engaged and support the solution decisions.
- architecture decisions are identified, addressed, and governed in a timely manner to support effective delivery.
- Manage a small team of architects and designers.
What we are looking for
- Expert understanding of Operational Technologies (OT) such as SCADA and industrial control systems, preferably within the utilities sector
- Expert knowledge of delivering complex and robust solutions using Microsoft Azure or similar cloud platforms
- Understanding of Internet of Things (IoT) concepts from both a monitoring and control perspective
- Sound understanding of enterprise Cybersecurity concepts
- experience of working in the utility sector would be favourable
