About the role 

We are looking for a Solution Architectto lead and support ICT activities that guide the development and management of a portfolio of solutions. They range from projects, systems (including applications, technologies, processes, and information), shared infrastructure services and shared application services. 

What you’ll do 

Some of your key focuses: 

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Azure-based / Office365 / Hybrid (VmWare) solutions. 
• Design end-to-end solutions that encompass infrastructure, applications, security, scalability, and performance, utilizing Azure, Office365 / Hybrid (VmWare) services and best practices. 
• Understand and help manage the VMware data centre technologies and infrastructure cloud domains 
• Evaluate existing systems, identify areas for improvement, and develop migration strategies to move on-premises applications to Azure 
• Provide expertise in cloud security, ensuring solutions are designed with strong security measures and compliance with industry standards. Office365 and Azure focused. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, operations, security, and compliance to ensure the successful implementation of solutions. 
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on all matters related to architecture and technology 

Who we’re looking for 

• To be successful in this role you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong ability to work with multiple stakeholders internally and externally. 

The ideal candidate has technical capability in the following: 

• Networking: Expertise in designing and configuring Azure networking components such as virtual networks, subnets, load balancers, VPN (Virtual Private Network) gateways, and ExpressRoute. 
• Identity and Access Management (IAM): Knowledge of Azure Active Directory / Entra and how to implement secure identity and access management solutions, including role-based access control (RBAC) and multi-factor authentication (MFA). 
• Experience in Office365 stack including but not limited to MDM (Modern Device Management), Intune, Autopilot, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, Defender 
• Hybrid Environments: Ability to design solutions that integrate on-premises infrastructure with Azure using technologies like Azure Site Recovery, Azure Arc, and Azure Stack in combination with VmWare platforms. 
• Storage Solutions: Knowledge of Azure storage options, such as Blob Storage, File Storage, Table Storage, and Disk Storage, and how to design and implement storage solutions. 
• Monitoring and Management: Proficiency in using Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Application Insights, and Azure Automation to monitor and manage resources effectively. 
• DevOps and CI/CD: Experience with implementing DevOps practices using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and other CI/CD tools to automate application deployment and infrastructure provisioning 
• Certifications: Relevant Azure certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, demonstrate a high level of expertise and validate your skills. 
• Expertise in Azure landing zone design, encompassing the establishment of a secure, scalable, and well-architected environment on Azure, incorporating best practices for governance, security, and compliance.
