The Opportunity
One of our clients is seeking experienced and motivated Solution Architects to assist with the delivery of various ICT Projects across the division. As a Solution Architect, you will play a crucial role in developing high-level and detailed design solutions for migrating in-house systems to the Azure cloud, including Active Directory, SharePoint, Exchange, and establishing virtual desktop infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in Azure DevOps pipelines and strong communication skills to convert business requirements into detailed design solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-level and detailed design solutions for transitioning services to Azure cloud environments.
- Develop Azure DevOps pipelines and manage Azure Virtual Network configurations, including hybrid network architecture.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, development teams, Azure platform experts, cyber security experts, and enterprise architects, to ensure smooth solution deployment and operational efficiency.
- Apply information security concepts and best practices, including Information Security Manual (ISM), OWASP, and Essential 8 controls within the organisation.
- Lead version control and code review practices using Git.
- Keep abreast of new trends in Azure cloud solutions and emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated experience as a Solution Architect, preferably within a federal government department.
- Solid expertise in developing high-level and detailed design solutions for migrating in-house systems to Azure cloud.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Azure DevOps pipelines and automation scripting (YAML, Bash).
- Familiarity with Azure Virtual Network configuration and hybrid network architecture.
- Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a drive for continuous improvement.
- Experience applying information security concepts and best practices, including ISM.
