Location: ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA - Hybrid 1 day in office
We are actively seeking talented and motivated Solution Architects who will support the quality assurance activities across the broad range of technology that is in development across the department.
This includes assurance over solution designs and their alignment to architecture principles, guidelines and standards.
The Solution Architect will assist in the development and delivery of the ICT strategy in consultation with the CIO and other ICT section members.
The scope of the role is to provide the following.

• Active engagement with the business to understand user requirements, issues and pain points, working in unison with a dedicated Business Analyst and with ICT and Business Systems teams.
• Maintain relationships with both internal and external customers and partners. This may include conducting one-on-one or group requirements gathering and related implementations/developments.
• Improve business efficiency and minimise business risk by leading the development of solutions that meet requirements.
• Produce both structured and ad-hoc reports, memos policies, procedures and analyses on solutions both for customer consumption and on vendor performance.
• Maintain currency of knowledge to support the ICT environment including interfaces with other Departments.
• Develop, Manage, and report on Budgets for all activities under responsibility.
• Ensure all solutions are delivered to achieve the required business outcomes
• Participate and lead projects that enhance the ICT and business environment and customer service capabilities/experience.

Essential Experience

• Strong track record of having successfully completed ICT Strategy
• Strong understanding of the government projects
• Expertise in Data related transformation projects
• Architecture framework qualifications and/or relevant experience. TOGAF or similar
• Extensive Solution Architecture experience, in both large and small teams
• Background and qualifications in Systems Engineering, Software Development and/or Business Analysis
• Insight and experience of at least two, of these domains
