The Position
Position Title: Sonographer
Classification: SO57 - SO60 (Above award allowance payment)
Hours per fortnight: up to 80 hours with an ADO every 4 weeks
Employment Status: Ongoing Full Time or Part Time
Other requirements: COVID-19 Vaccination (3 doses)
Role Description
Sonographers at Bendigo Health perform a full range of ultrasound examinations to a consistently high standard using a patient focused approach. They are a mentor to undergraduate students and other Imaging staff. There is a wide and varied patient mix consisting of acute and trauma, public inpatients, and private outpatients. As part of a fully comprehensive imaging department within a tertiary hospital the case mix includes general imaging, obstetrics, vascular, paediatrics, musculoskeletal and interventional procedures alongside on-site Radiologists.

The Team
The Medical Imaging department has a focus on promoting and supporting patient safety and quality of service. It recognises the importance of leadership, culture, patient safety, clinical performance, professionalism and patient care. The Medical Imaging team works collaboratively with other Bendigo Health departments to provide high quality imaging and advice, both internally and when supporting our Regional Partner Health Services
