Reporting to the Manager Strategic Procurement and Supply, you are a highly organised and motivated individual looking for the perfect opportunity to continue developing your professional career while enjoying an enviable lifestyle out of the rate-race, offering true work life balance. This role is the chance to lead and develop a small but highly effective team, providing operational guidance to senior stakeholders within the organisation and assist the Manager execute Strategic Procurement and Supply plans. The product categories within Local Government purchasing offer variety like no other - from procurement of large earthmoving equipment, entertainers for festivals, building and construction supplies to pens, paperclips, and PPE!!!

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will bring demonstrable experience in procurement and contracting practices, vendor management, sound knowledge of law and legislation and risk management. Your stakeholder engagement skills are highly developed, and you enjoy using your ability to influence to achieve positive outcomes. Additionally, you are digitally savvy and are committed to using technology to improve processes.

Degree qualifications in Procurement, Business, Law or Accounting are essential, with post graduate qualifications highly regarded. Certification with Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) would be beneficial.
