Tasmanian Walking Company (TWC) has a rich history in eco-tourism, dating back to 1987 with the launch of the iconic Cradle Mountain Huts Walk. About the role:
We have an exciting casual opportunity for a Spa Therapist who wants to provide the highest possible standard of service and treatment to guests through a unique, nurturing, and holistic experience.
Enjoy the breath-taking views of the Munro Bight and Tasman National Park as you offer a range of services at the Cape Pillar Lodge Spa.
We offer massage (and some spa) services exclusively to guests partaking in the Three Capes Lodge Walk based near Cape Pillar on the Southeast Coast of Tasmania. Here you will experience true communion with nature in sustainable accommodation that combines simplicity and a comfortable off-grid lifestyle.
Standing tall atop Tornado Ridge and surrounded by beautiful vistas, the Cape Pillar Lodge is a host to our Relaxation Pavilion – a sanctuary and respite for our guests as they recover from their days’ walk and disconnect from the fast-paced world. Spend 4-8 days out on the Tasman Peninsula, providing massage and facial treatments. In between services and spa-related operations, you will assist in our eco-lodge with operational needs and some cleaning tasks.
What you will bring:
To succeed as a TWG Spa Therapist, you will have the ability to provide an outstanding experience that guests will remember for a lifetime, which is achieved by establishing excellent rapport and ensuring guests feel comfortable and welcome in the spa.
The ideal candidates for this role will meet these essential requirements:
- 1+ years’ experience working in a similar role or industry preferred.
- Be flexible and adaptable with a high level of professionalism and well-presented.
- Experienced with using online booking systems and schedules (Fresha System preferred)
- Possess effective communication, rapport building skills and organizational skills.
- Be self-motivated, reliable, but comfortable working alone or in a small team.
- Able to travel to and work in a remote location with basic off-grid infrastructure and motivated to uphold and maintain the spa’s overall appearance.
- Have a passion for outdoors, wellbeing, and wilderness experiences.
For this role you are expected to hold, maintain & renew:
- Cert IV or Diploma in Beauty or Massage (or equivalent)
- Provide First Aid (HLTAID011)
- Provide CPR (HLTAID009)
