SPARE PARTS ASSISTANT - SALES
About the Role:
This is primarily a customer service role, selling SPARE PARTS and taking engine orders to trade customers and the public. We are looking for someone to become an essential part of our small team. Working Monday to Friday, this role would suit an auto or marine mechanic looking to come off the tools and develop their sales skills or, someone working in procurement or sales looking to broaden their career.
Being part of a small team, albeit within a bigger organisation, means your duties will be quite varied from week to week. Typically, this will include but is not limited to the following:
- Parts Interpreting (Marine/Industrial experience preferable)
- Engine Sales
- Answering technical enquiries
- Process/enter customer enquiries and orders (via phone, email, or face to face)
- Entering parts and engine orders
- Develop product knowledge and expertise
- Identify, select and pack parts orders
- Counter sales/EFTPOS transactions
- Receive deliveries and dispatch orders
- Loading and unloading of supplier goods
About You:
We are looking a candidate who;
- Has an interest in mechanics – you will develop specialist knowledge of all parts and products
- Has excellent communication skills- you will be constantly liaising with customers and team members over the phone and via email
- Computer skills – you will develop an intimate understanding of our electronic parts catalogues and business system
- Has initiative – we are looking for someone who is self sufficient and eager to make the role their own
- Self-motivated – we need someone who is excited to learn new skills and help with all aspects of the business
- Team player – we need someone who works well with others and is willing to listen and assist other team members
Preferable Skills/ Qualifications:
- Valid Australian Drivers Licence
- Strong Computer Literacy
- Previous SPARE PARTS experience
- Marine or industrial mechanical experience
- Forklift licence
