Torquepower supports the owners and operators of Cummins-powered equipment (road transport, mining, marine, industrial, construction and agriculture) right across Australia and the South Pacific, with parts and service, and have been doing so for over 45 years. 

Torquepower is a family-owned company, with many valuable and long term staff members who really understand the need for responsiveness, value and accuracy.

In addition to having the largest independent stock holding of Cummins parts in the South Pacific (more than 100,000 individual parts – from the smallest washer, wiring diagrams, service manuals, through to complete engines).  Torquepower also provides engine overhaul services for both customer owned and in stock Cummins engines.

The Role

Continued business growth means that Torquepower now has opportunities for new team members to join their busy and vibrant sales department based out of Archerfield. 

Successful applicants will have a true passion for customer service, exceptional organisational and communication skills, along with a willingness to expand and share your knowledge with some of the best Cummins specialists in the business.

You will bring a demonstrated knowledge of Cummins parts & products through EITHER your previous experience as a Parts Interpreter or Sales Engineer … OR through your work as a Cummins Technician where you are open to an opportunity to get off the tools.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Respond to sales counter, email, telephone, and website/online sale inquiries.
• Provide accurate and timely parts interpreting.
• Listen to customer requirements and develop the best options to meet their needs.
• Develop comprehensive Quotes.
• Communicate with customers during and follow up after the quotation process.
• Provide team support and expect the same in return.

What We Need from You:

• Previous experience in a heavy-duty Parts Interpreter or sales role involving Cummins products – OR experience as a Technician working on Cummins engines.
• A genuine and sincere Customer Focus – not just a corporate mantra.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to use a variety of digital resources such as Quick Serve Online.
• Ability to work effectively with a close-knit team of confident specialists.
• Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
• A lateral thinker – think outside the box.
• Strong focus on workplace safety.
