You'll be working for a department within the South Australia government. 
Your new role 
The Spatial Analyst is a role within System Strategy and Analysis and is responsible for analysing and managing data, developing and maintaining specialised spatial solutions and performing location-based analytics to extract insights for decision-making.
As a Spatial Analyst, you'll need to:

Develop, implement, and maintain innovative spatial solutions that provide evidence-based business insights for decision-makers at all levels.

Utilize analytical, statistical, and scripting skills to collect, integrate, analyze, and interpret data supporting SA Housing Authority projects and programs.

Create and deliver models or scripts to automate GIS processes, ensuring authoritative spatial datasets are up-to-date in enterprise and file geodatabases.

Conduct complex spatial analyses using ESRI GIS technologies or other data analysis tools to address various business problems.

Manage key corporate spatial datasets, maintaining high quality and accuracy.

Provide project administration, planning, and documentation.

Support content and users on corporate GIS platforms.

Offer specialist GIS advice and mapping support across simultaneous projects, meeting deadlines.

What you'll need to succeed

• Demonstrated experience in spatial analysis, GIS, and data management.
• Mandatory experience in using ESRI GIS technologies (ArcGIS, ArcMap, ArcPro).
• Strong scripting skills (Python, R, or similar) for data manipulation and automation.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis tools.
• Ability to conduct complex spatial analyses to solve business problems.
• Experience developing and maintaining authoritative spatial datasets.
• Excellent communication skills to work with stakeholders, provide training, and support users.
• Collaborative mindset to contribute to cross-functional projects.
