St John WA is currently seeking a Specialised Care Operations Manager join our Clinical and Operational Excellence team. This position plays a crucial role in the management and coordination of our Specialised Care team through building and maintaining the necessary expertise in out of hospital complex care. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity reporting directly into the General Manager, Clinical and Operational Excellence and will be based from our offices in Belmont.
What you’ll do:
- Cultivate and expand expertise, capacity, and capability within the dynamic and innovative Specialised Care team.
- Take charge of annual planning and actively collaborate with talented colleagues to shape the strategic direction of Specialised Care, driving its growth and success.
- Forge valuable connections and establish strong partnerships with key stakeholders throughout the care continuum, contributing to the enhanced effectiveness of Specialised Care.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and synergy by working closely with the operational staff, management team, and support services of SJWA, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective Specialised Care.
- Champion the safe delivery of Specialised Care to complex and at-risk patient populations, addressing their unique needs with dedication and empathy.
- Pave the way for progress by leading the development of innovative policies and procedures specific to Specialised Care, incorporating cutting-edge recommendations for best practices.
- Spearhead the creation, implementation, and continuous monitoring of evaluation processes, providing invaluable insights and reporting on key performance information, vital for driving improvement and enhancing patient outcomes.
What you’ll need:
- Proven track record of strong leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to guide and inspire others to achieve exceptional results.
- Advanced knowledge and expertise obtained through a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, ensuring an up-to-date understanding of industry trends and best practices.
- Hold and maintain a relevant qualification and unrestricted registration to a professional body (AHPRA) (mandatory).
- Exceptional proficiency in utilising Microsoft Office Suite, allowing for efficient and effective work processes and seamless collaboration.
- Holds a valid and unrestricted WA Driving License, indicating a commitment to mobility and readiness to fulfill responsibilities in various locations.
- Extensive background in paramedicine or emergency response service, demonstrating the ability to handle high-pressure situations and make critical decisions with ease (desirable).
- Valuable experience in supporting individuals with complex health and social care needs, showcasing a dedication to providing compassionate and person-centered care (desirable).
