We now have an exciting opportunity for full-time Mechanical Fitters& Boilermakers to join our team, working out of our workshop in Gladstone, QLD.

To be considered, you will hold a relevant trade qualification and demonstrated experience in your respective field.

Mechanical Fitter – In this role you will be comfortable with a varied workload as well as performing key duties described below:

• Working on a diverse range of repairable spares, including pumps and valves
• Performing disassembly, assessing of components, and executing reassembly
• Conducting breakdown work, including troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues
• Undertake high precision fitting and turning operations on Pumps, Valves, Gearboxes, Blowers, Fans, Compressors, Turbine Rotors, Mechanical Seals, Cruze Beams, Anode Extractors, Crust Breakers, Crane Bogies, Screw Feeders, Rotating equipment and other high precision fitting
• Lazer alignment of all rotation equipment to 0.01mm except where specified differently
• Perform bolt torque to Australian and Engineering Standards and record on ITP (Inspection & Test Plan)
• Perform hydrostatic pressure tests and valves and valves and pressure equipment to ISO 9000 standards and record on ITP
• Read engineering drawings, specification, and ITP's and ensure standards are met for all work executed

Boilermaker – In this role, you will be adept at handling a diverse range of tasks, as well as performing key duties described below:

• Proficient in fabricating, assembling, and repairing boilers, pressure vessels, and tanks, utilising extensive knowledge in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and plans
• Skilled in using specialised tools and equipment, including gas torches, plasma cutters, and various welding apparatus, to accurately shape, cut, and join metal components
• Strong emphasis on adhering to safety standards and regulations, particularly in working with high-pressure systems and hazardous materials

To be successful in this role, you will have a trade qualification in Fitting & Turning, Boilermarking or equivalent. Post-trade experience would be advantageous, but not essential. You will also have demonstrated knowledge in your respective field and have proven ability to understand and interpret complex mechanical manufacturing drawings.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will receive a highly attractive hourly rate of $40-$45 per hour (commensurate with skills and experience) PLUS super and relocation assistance (for the right candidate)!
