Specialist Vacancies
Anaesthetist, Head of Acute Pain Lead our Acute Pain Service, ensuring timely, efficient, and high-quality patient care. You’ll attend preadmission clinics, preoperative assessments, theatre sessions, post-surgical care, and delivery suite as rostered. You’ll also participate in setting clinical standards within the department, maintain accurate patient records, assist in developing protocols, and ensure prompt communication with other clinicians.
Anaesthetist, Head of Perioperative As an integral part of our department, you’ll provide clinical expertise in anaesthesia and perioperative medicine, supervise junior staff, and support LRH’s quality initiatives, teaching, research, and clinical governance programs. You’ll lead preadmission clinics, attend preoperative assessments, theatre sessions, post-surgical care, and delivery suite as rostered.
Anaesthetist, Supervisor of Training In this role, you’ll attend preadmission clinics, preoperative assessments, theatre sessions, post-surgical care, and delivery suite as rostered. You’ll ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality patient care, maintain best practice, recognise consumer diversity, maintain accurate patient records, assist in developing protocols, use resources responsibly, and ensure prompt communication with other clinicians.
Fractional Anaesthetist We’re seeking anaesthetists to deliver high-quality patient care, mentor junior staff, and support quality initiatives. You’ll provide expert anaesthesia services, engage in teaching and research, and uphold LRH’s core values. Your responsibilities will include preadmission clinics, preoperative assessments, theatre sessions, post-surgical care, and on-call rotations.
Requirements
Essential:
- Legally qualified medical practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) without conditions, undertakings, or reprimands that could impact on their clinical practice
- Fellowship of the Australian & New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (or eligible for fellowship via the recognition of equivalent training pathway)
- Meets LRH requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in anaesthesia
- Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in anaesthesia
- Received three (3) doses of COVID-19 Vaccination
Desirable:
- Experience in teaching and research
- Experience in Obstetric anaesthesia, paediatric anaesthesia, and trauma
- Experience outside the operating suite (e.g. ICU)
