About the role
The position involves working alongside the Audiological and Surgical Directors facilitate the ongoing roll-out and day-to-day running of the Hearing Implants Australia network. This network has been established to lead innovation and disruption in the hearing implant field; to increase the number of hearing professionals that have knowledge about hearing implants, either as part of the referral chain or providing direct services. The network also provides training and support relevant to the candidacy, fitting and long-term support for people using hearing implants across all device manufacturers approved for use in Australia. This position is best suited an experienced implant audiologist. It requires a passionate and energetic audiologist who enjoys variety in their work. This is a high-impact role supporting innovation in direct service delivery, service delivery models and clinical education.
Skills and experience
Minimum:
- All applicants must be a full Members of Audiology Australia.
- 2-3 yrs experience with implantable hearing solutions.
- Willingness to travel and has current drivers license. Some overnight travel may be required.
- Willingness to continue professional development in clinical audiology, adult learning and audiology business skills.
- Excellent communicator, efficient worker, highly organised, computer and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and autonomously, as well as within a small team.
Responsibilities:
- To support our CI and BC implant recipients throughout regional NSW remotely and face to face
- Perform full Audiological assessments for cochlear implant and bone conduction implant candidates
- Support bimodal recipients
- Work closely with a network of ENT surgeons, audiologists and audiometrists
- Support a busy schedule ENT clinic by delivering the required hearing assessments 2 days/week
- Run Intra operative measurements when needed
