About the Role

This role is based within our Candidate Recruitment Marketing team who are key to helping BHP attract and hire exceptional talent. The team are responsible for the execution of the global candidate engagement strategy and recruitment branding across all touch points in BHP's Talent Acquisition & Sourcing Process.

This role will be responsible for developing, creating, executing and bringing to life our recruitment brand across our Australian portfolio of assets, with the main focus area being our operations in the Americas. You will be responsible for creating compelling messages and creatives that resonate with our candidates to inspire them to apply and connect with BHP; ensuring that the connection remains as they progress through our recruitment process.

From video content creation in TikTok or Canva, to job adverts to candidate guides to digital campaigns utilizing meta and search; this role touches on it all ensuring that our recruitment brand and voice reaches our audience with the desired effect, helping to ensure BHP meets its hiring goals and objectives.

Some of the role requirements are listed below;

  • Creation and execution of digital recruitment advertising campaigns from start to finish, leveraging recruitment branding/employer branding materials internal support and driving collaboration across teams for success.
  • Digital Content Creation - utilising Video My Job, Canva and TikTok to create engaging authentic content for our candidates to better understand what it might be like to work for us.
  • Work with key stakeholders within BHP to deliver exceptional work and results including the digital, branding and relevant communications teams.
  • Drive equity & inclusion across the recruitment process for diverse candidates including disability, indigenous, females, veterans and LGBTQ+.
  • Responsible for the personalizing of the recruitment brand and candidate messaging across all advertising channels and external platforms, such as LinkedIn life pages, Indeed, Glassdoor, Seek and BHP's own social channels.
  • Identify the marketing tactics and platforms that will be most effective in reaching a specified target audience/candidates.
  • Monitor and report on the success of campaigns, adapting and learning from the results with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Monitoring competitor campaigns, online presence and candidate engagement strategies.
  • Creation and management of candidate/CRM newsletters, increasing engagement and audience size.

About You

You will be an exceptional word-smith, happy to take charge and lead projects with a key eye for detail. Having a passion for what you do and how you do it, as well as caring about the final result will be important not only to your success, but the team as a whole.

Creativity and passion are at the heart of this role, and you definitely don't need to have worked in either mining or Talent Acquisition previously to be successful. You do need to understand that your creativity and passion need to be balanced with the need to preserve BHP's brand in the market and you will need to work with this across all of your work.

You will have strong experience in a similar role either working within a Talent, Employer Branding or Marketing team with a focus on employer branding, candidate/customer acquisition and engagement, with a background in Marketing, Communications or Advertising and experience with Google Analytics, Meta, Canva and TikTok.

Location

This is Fixed Term role until 30th June 2025. This role can be based at either our Perth, Brisbane, or Adelaide offices.
