The Position
The purpose of this role is to Undertake technical activities within the Cyber Security team to deliver operational security to assigned accredited systems, Write and implement internal Policy and Procedures as per the requirements defined by contemporary standards and Provide advice to CEA staff on security related matters pertaining to assigned systems. Be prepared to undertake interstate travel as required to facilitate patching and upkeep of assigned systems and to facilitate training.
This role is responsible for:
- Control assets to ensure the full security-lifecycle administration of assets is carried out.
- Undertake monitoring of systems and logs to identify anomalies.
- Undertake maintenance and monitoring of Intrusion Detection Systems.
- Undertake intermediate incident response tasks.
- Undertake and conduct threat hunting activities as described by management.
- Produce registers and track histories of authorised assets and verify that assets are in a known state and location.
- Manage device hardening, patching and updates on systems under management.
- Assist in the development and implementation of ICT Security policies across all layers (Network, Compute, and Storage).
- Must be able to attain an Australian Government clearance before commencement
- Demonstrated hands on experience delivering results in a complex environment
- Comfortable working in a team
To be eligible for this position, you must be:
- An Australian Citizen;
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance NV1.
- The successful candidate MUST be able to obtain clearance prior to commencement
