Specialist Family Violence Practitioner - The Orange Door

As a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner, you will work within the multi-disciplinary Orange Door team and deliver high quality, safe and effective service responses to Victorians seeking support and services through The Orange Door.

You will receive and manage all Family Violence referrals for women and children to The Orange Door including the delivery of client screening, assessment, crisis responses, service planning, targeted interventions, allocation and coordinated referrals consistent with the Orange Door operational and practice guidelines, relevant risk assessment tools and frameworks.

This is a fast paced, short term case management role. This position is full time or part time 4-5 days per week, fixed term 12 months and based in Geelong.

About You

You will be a values driven person, motivated to make a difference and you hold the client at the centre of everything you do. You are an experienced Family Violence specialist with qualifications in social work or a related field. You have experience providing professional, high quality case management, advocacy and support to clients.

We are a client-centred organisation, supporting the community throughout Barwon, Wimmera, and the South West regions, offering a specialist range of support services to all people impacted by sexual and Family Violence, encompassing 24 hour crisis response, case management, therapeutic counselling and group programs, early intervention programs, refuge and housing support, legal services, professional training and primary prevention initiatives, along with the delivery of the Victims Assistance Program for Barwon South West.
