About MECoE

About the Role


The Specialist Maintenance Strategy Governance is key in managing equipment strategies for Fixed Plant equipment within the wider Iron Ore asset to deliver sustainable value while keeping them current and relevant in alignment with the business plan.


Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance Strategy Governance, this role aligns data analytics, operational philosophy, engineering standards and maintenance technical expertise to enable the successful execution of asset strategies across Iron Ore and continuously improve it to deliver optimum performance across the asset.

You will be able to use your expertise through:

 
  • Implementing the MECoE centralised model for managing asset strategies in Iron Ore.
  • Manage prospective changes to asset strategies and monitor their integrity and effectiveness.
  • Optimising asset strategies in collaboration with Maintenance teams (Reliability, Execution), Engineering and other Functions to keep them current, relevant and accurate.
  • Leading and delivering improvement initiatives that optimise our asset strategies to support the business plan.
  • Proactively monitor and identify performance deviations from targets in collaboration with the wider MECoE to anticipate and prevent loss.
  • Promote a continuous improvement culture by proactive identifying causes of loss and eliminating waste. 

About You

As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
 

  • Demonstrated practical experience focused on processing plants in the mining industry, preferably in Fixed Plant equipment for areas like maintenance, engineering and/or reliability.
  • Exposure to iron ore Fixed Plant will be welcome as well as other similar commodities.
  • Tertiary or trade qualifications in maintenance and/or engineering.
  • Experience in Asset management, Strategy Optimisation, Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) methodology and problem solving is desirable.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems Asset Performance Management (APM) or comparable asset management or strategy optimisation software, and SAP is also advantageous is highly desirable.
  • Ability to prioritise work and effectively manage change through influence and engagement.
  • You are a team player who promotes and supports workplace diversity.
  • You will have a focus on business development, continuous improvement & be passionate about building & maintaining positive working relationships within the teams.
  • You will possess a strong commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility & sustainable development.

Location and Roster

You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - ‘City Square’. You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state of the art facilities including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing facilities, 550 bicycle racks with ample lockers, showers and change room amenities and a large outdoor terrace with barbecues. 

You will be working on Monday-Friday roster. Flexible work is also offered.
